Second Friday back at school... so why not have a water party? We had an absolute blast! First there were water games, apple bobbing, relays, sponges and water guns were involved.

After an hour of this we needed some energy for what was about to happen after lunch. Luckily for us some nice men from Owen's Transport provided us with not just a free sausage sizzle but also fruit and some water! After we had our sausage (and in some case 5 sausages) we were prepared for our Senior water fight.
But first... a pool party!
The water fight began and our first target was Mr Wilkinson himself.. of course. We had water guns, water balloons, drinkbottles, hoses, buckets... you name it, we had it!

The girls with the big guns.. look out! |

Ms Raisin got in on the action... and came out soaked. |
By the end of the day we were all absolutely soaked and ready for the weekend. What a great day at Gilberthorpe.
Kia ora Te Rōpū Ngākaunui,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Tania and I am a Manaiakalani Facilitator. I look after Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu so will be lucky enough to check out your blog this term and find out what you are learning about, what you are creating, and what you are sharing! I live in Whangarei which is near the top of the North Island, a long way away from where you live in Christchurch! My daughter lives in ChristChurch though so I do come down to visit often. Looks like you had HEAPS of fun on your water day and everyone was part of the action! A great way to start the year, especially as it has been SO hot. Keep having fun and learning heaps.
